Does anyone have any Silver Lake fish stories they'd like to share?

I know my buddy has done very well w/ LM bass...catching 20 of the critters off shore on the north end of the lake.

Silver Lake Fishing Story? Ok.
Bullheads: black, slippery, and spiky! Hate 'em. I got stuck so many times as a kid by those stupid little bottom feeders, that I lost interest in fishing altogether! I hear that the bullhead population in Silver Lake is all but gone these days, but those little black S.O.B.s I'll never forget!

i'd like to see the MN DNR stock the lake with lots more pike and bass. the lake has nothing but bottom feeders and some pan fish. the lake really isn't worth fishing at all, but it looks nice.

They do stock that lake with some game fish per the signs they post around the lake. You should have seen the Bullheads and assorted bottom feeders way back when!

It's amazing isn't it PA?! Wink

I thought the only living things that could thrive in that lake were the chiggers and itch weeds. Who knew gill-breathers were in that water?!?! Shocked
